Artist Statement:
"I often create characters for comic projects and it was during my college years that my first trans character, Dylan, was "born". She became more and more alive in my mind the more I learned about the LGBTQ+ community, the more I spoke to my partner about their trans identity and the more I let myself explore what it meant to be queer after years of being in denial. This piece to me represents the constricting nature of our society's gender binary system and the repression gender-non-conforming people face, using Dylan as my model"
